Note: This is by no means a complete list.  It's a work in progress. If I left your issue out e-mail me and I will add it to the list. It's a good start though. I think we, the ACTUAL left should keep track of clinton's ACTUAL crimes. Please send me your favorites.

A short list of Clinton's crimes, things the "liberal socialist media" and the American sheeple don't think of or care about.

• The totally illegal bombing of iraq. Based on a rumor put out by a public relations firm hired by the glorious democracy of kuwait, bill clinton rained Tomahawk cruise missiles on Baghdad, killing eight innocent people. Mass murder is not among the republican's contemplated articles of impeachment though.  Enjoyed almost unanimous bipartisan support, the president was decisive, he, "sent a message to saddam."
• Support for G.A.T.T., N.A.F.T.A. and now M.A.I.  -  negotiated in secret, misrepresented in public, these treaties are treasonous and profoundly anti-democratic. Inexplicably, they also enjoy exceptionally impenetrable bipartisan support.
• Support with weapons and rhetoric for the mexican oligarchy's genocidal campaign against the people of chiapas. Enjoys strong bipartisan support.

• Perpetrated a moral outrage against the Haitian people - NONE of the coup plotters have been brought to justice, instead they've been protected by the clinton administration. emmanuel "toto" constant (FRAPH leader): "If I'm guilty of those crimes that they're accusing me of, the CIA is also guilty", sells MCI cards in Manhatten. When the clinton administration invaded Haiti they confiscated the records of the u.s. supported, school of the americas trained, duvalierist secret police known as FRAPH (pronounced frap).  clinton now refuses to return these records to the legitimate Haitian government. The military coup and illegal exile of President Jean-Bertrand Aristide was tolerable, but the public assassinations, disappearances and other atrocities committed by the FRAPH brought the kind of attention and outrage that threatened production. Time to "re-shufffle" the deck, the FRAPH had to go. Classic liberalism here - this is where they draw a line. Liberalism looks at the cost/benefit ratio. It's the lesson learned from the life and death (at the hands of starving peasants) of famous French conservative, marie "let them eat cakes" antoinette. Save the system from itself.

• Supporting welfare repeal without acknowledging the responsibility that wall st. and the federal reserve have for maintaining an artificial level of poverty. clintons' support for the "fed's" manipulation of interest rates to combat high employment perpetuates the institutionalization of poverty preferred by his predecessors bush, reagan, carter and ford to "reduce inflationary pressures."  I.E. controlling inflation by manipulating the amount of disposable income in the working class. His cooperation in the incremental repeal of liberalism's social safety net is a crime against this surplus army. This too enjoys enormous bipartisan support. That's what it's all about.
• Toughened embargoes against Cuba/iraq with the effect of killing and hurting children and the poor, and, in the case of iraq, strengthening our enemy. Bad guy vs. bad guy. This too enjoys strong bipartisan support.
• Support for the indonesian dictator suharto - the literal equivelent of pol pot, clinton invites him to the white house and tries to engineer a bail-out of the economy suharto and his cronies have been looting for the last 25 years. This is not identified as a character issue and enjoys strong bi-partisan support.
• His neo-nazi terrorism bill; wiretapping, star chamber deportations, confiscation of assets - repudiates almost the entire bill of rights. Enjoyed strong bipartisan support.
• Communications decency act - repudiates the 1^st amendment. Enjoyed strong bipartisan support.
• Communications deregulation - spectrum giveaway - amoral thievery of the airwaves. Enjoyed strong bipartisan support.
• Waco - killing the children to save them. No matter what you think of koresh this was bullshit.
• Escalation of the war on some drugs -  threatened licenses of California doctors in the wake of prop 215 (medical marijuana) - repudiates the 10^th amendment. clinton out reich wings the reich wingers on this one. Enjoys gleefully strong bipartisan support.
• Screwing veterans of the gulf and Vietnam wars. Enjoys strong bi-partisan support.

Good Cop, Bad Cop

A progressive perspective is "beyond the bounds of the expressible" for the majority of mainstream liberals (the near right) and conservatives (the far right) because to do otherwise would expose the fact that they are parties to an indefensible false dichotomy in service of a common agenda, "stability" and elite management of economic and political power.

This is why there has been NO sustained outrage or threat to his office from them over any of the above. It's really surreal compared with amount of attention an alleged consensual sex act receives. This tells you all you really need to know about the morality and character of his allies AND of his so - called opposition.

IF a "liberal socialist media" really existed and we lived in a democracy, the talk shows would be consumed with discussions of these things instead of the mindless "when was the president blown and who knew she blew him" regurgitated all day long in the corporate media.

IF representatives of the PEOPLE were in charge of congress, and there was a drumbeat for impeachment, it would be a drumbeat for impeachment over the types of crimes against humanity listed above.

In reality, "Fornigate"  is a measure and indication of the American people's willful historical ignorance, political stupidity and social immaturity. Besotted by scandals, alcohol, and sports trivia, they don't even know what hits them.
